Top-20 streak in majors ends Schauffele carded a three-under 68 in the final round of the PGA Championship to finish in a tie for 28th place. Impact Schauffele's streak of 12 straight top-20s in majors came to an end this week with this T28 result. While the two-time major champion had his best driving performance of the year gaining 5.6 strokes off the tee to rank third in the field, his approach game was quite a let down at 69th-best for the week. Schauffele simply didn't take advantage of the great tee shots and was scrambling a lot of the week. This was the first time since the Memorial last year that Schauffele has lost strokes on approach. He came into this week off four straight top-20 finishes and had finished runner-up the last two years at Quail Hollow. Simply said, it was not the week he expected to have. There's certainly some positives since he has came back from the rib injury, but Schauffele is still looking to put all parts of his game together.
